1. If I decide to come for ministry, what would a typical day look like?
The ministry that occurs would vary somewhat, depending on the scheduling option you selected. All individuals who come for ministry are required to submit completed documents (see ministry forms) which will provide us with information on potential issues that may be important and need to be addressed during the ministry time. As mentioned in the methodology section of this web site, our focus of ministry, whether working with an individual or a married couple, is to identify the root issues and seek healing in those areas. In addition to the written questionnaire, we find it valuable when the counselee is able to respond to questions we would ask in the actual time together. It is during these times that the Holy Spirit often reveals insights that are essential for effective ministry to follow. If an individual has chosen a ministry option that involves two or more days of ministry, we will generally schedule four hours of direct ministry contact time each day. There may be other assignments that are required during the additional time available, including time for such things as pertinent reading, listening to or watching relevant material, rest, meditation and recreation, as appropriate. Each visit will be tailored to the needs of each person. (Top of Page)
2. I’m not sure if I really need counseling ministry. Can you assist me in making this decision?
Making the decision to pursue counseling ministry is a personal decision and should
incorporate various factors. It may be helpful in that process to review the counseling

3. What if I am already seeing a counselor in my area?
We believe that coming for intensive ministry here at The Father’s Heart Ministry can be a definite benefit to those already in counseling. Due to the focused and intensive nature of this type of ministry—particularly when someone comes for multiple days—there is a possibility of achieving a breakthrough on important issues that may serve to accelerate the work occurring with an existing counselor. If desired and with signed consent, we would welcome input from your counselor in advance of your time spent with us, and we would provide your counselor with appropriate feedback from the ministry that occurs. 4. We’re having difficulty in our marriage. Should we come to your
ministry?
Yes, we work with couples who are having marital difficulties, and we welcome you here to receive ministry. However, our focus primarily will be on the most important root issues that are operating within each of you, and we will focus less on the current “here and now” issues. We do not ignore dealing with areas that may help improve the marital relationship (i.e. communication techniques, etc.); however, we will spend a greater amount of time ministering to the needs of each individual (with our without the spouse present). It is during this type of ministry that we may forego the team ministry approach at times and work independently to be able to minister to the husband and wife simultaneously. (Top of Page)

9. If I come and stay at your facility, do you provide food as well as
lodging?

We provide the essential kitchen condiments; however, it is the responsibility of each guest to purchase or bring their own food or select to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants. If guests choose to cook their own meals, they have access to a full kitchen within their private lodging facility. Also, all linens are provided. (Top of Page)
